Inspired Artist

Any one person in the fashion industry or with a career related to design will tell you they pull inspiration from anything and everything. The pattern on an animal, nature, a culture, an ethnicity, etc..

I am constantly inspired by images and looks I see around NYC & Boston. Creating and inventing is a THRILLING process for me. (Basically my entire life)... I have pulled together some images & people who inspire me.

Take a look...

BEAUTY OF THE MONTH: KELLY KARLOFF

Introducing all of you to my cousin: Kelly Karloff.
Try taking your eyes off her, ITS IMPOSSIBLE!

Kelly is a model and a tv host personality (the kelly show on karmaloop.com).

She has modeled for Karmaloop.com, Sacredstyleswimwear.com, Rockport, Reebok, Upscale Living Magazine, American Curves Magazine, Harley Davidson, Ruelala.com, Avalanchwear.com and as if that's not enough, she has also been featured in FHM.com, and Maxim.com!!!

Pay close attention, Kelly is the next big HUGE thing. (I think she is a perfect mix of Megan Fox & Angelina Jolie)

Kelly is originally from Boston, Mass (like myself). Not only is she beautiful, she is also NICE.
I asked Kelly to tell me 5 facts no one knows about her... here is what she told me.

1. I don't eat any red meat and haven't since I was little

2. I am OBSESSED with teeth, love big white bright smiles

3. I was a gymnast for 13 years and competed level 9 all over the country at the age of 12

4. I have a serious girl crush on the singer JoJo... I love her music & lyrics

5. I am the ultimate hopeless romantic

Kelly, I will never go to the beach with you if you are wearing this. You'll make me look bad.

One of my favorite shots of Kelly.

Kelly and I will be setting up a photo shoot together in the very near future. Get excited for the pictures, they are going to be beyond fabulous!

You're HOT then your COLD

I personally have very very very curly hair. Ringlets. Sometimes frizzy sometimes nice milky curls! Depends on my hair's mood. I like to blow out my curls and have straight smooth hair (like most of you im sure). I really HATE the look of dull, life less, dead hair. The key to fixing this is MOISTURE and CONDITIONING. I also have some little tricks that help my hair stay smooth and look shiny!
(I also added a nice face washing trick in as well!)

All THREE tricks have to do with TEMPERATURE.

First trick:
COLD WATER
Let me explain. I am the kind of person that likes unbearably steaming BURNING hot showers. However, this is not what is best for your hair. After I shampoo and condition my hair and it is squeaky clean, I do an ICY FREEEEEZING COLD rinse on my hair. This will close off the cuticles in your hair and will make your hair look super shiny.

Second Trick:
COLD AIR
Hot air dries your hair faster, and is far more efficient when styling, however cold air is useful as well. I like to blow dry my hair in sections. At the end of each section, I turn the blow dryer on the COLDEST setting possible and brush my hair while blowing cold air on it. This will "set your hair style" and make it last longer. It will also prevent frizz and create volume. When you are finished with your whole head, run your fingers through your hair while you blow the cold air on it.

Third Trick:
COLD WATER
When you are washing your face you should ALWAYS use cold water. I know, I agree, the hot water feels sooo much better on my face and the cold water is stabbing. However, cold water will help minimize pour size and will help remove oil. (It also wakes you up!)
